Far North region of Cameroon, 2017.

In the last four years, Boko Haram-related violence forced 2.5 million people from their homes across Nigeria, Cameroon, Chad and Niger, turning it into Africa’s fastest-growing displacement crisis, with huge humanitarian consequences.

From the Far North region of Cameroon, which has received over 60,000 refugees from Nigeria and has seen 225,000 of its own population displaced, EU Humanitarian Aid worker Rose Etame explains the basic needs of those who had to leave everything behind, and how EU Humanitarian Aid is providing assistance.
